We spent 3 nights and 4 days in this park. Conveniently located to Mt. Rushmore,Rapid City and Crazy Horse. Super friendly and helpful staff. The sites are large and many have covered picnic tables that you share with your neighbor. Not much to the park but they had a small store and nice showers (that we didn't need). Good cable tv, water pressure, power and sewer. We would certainly stay here again. We stayed in a 35' class A.

Office staff was very friendly. This is a large camp ground, many full timers, but they are very quiet and clean. Flat level gravel sites with grass. The bath rooms and showers need updated

Staff was very friendly but facility is very run down. 7 of the 9 washers were out of service. Interior roads were very bad. To rough to walk through the park. They have a lot of permanent people that leave for work between 5-7 every morning and the noise was terrible

Older campground in need of updates especially restrooms and showers. Also, in rear of restroom building, it appears they are starting a junkyard. Old rusty, decrepit autos. Also, rear of park adjoins a storage(?) area of run down campers/manufactured homes. Definitely not anywhere you'd stay more than 1 night.

I'm not normally one to leave reviews but I feel compelled to let others know about this facility. It is an older park (built in the 70s we were told). Looking at the photo you will notice that the sites are not angled to the roads but rather perpendicular. I had a 36 foot 5th wheel and triple towed a small motorcycle trailer behind it. Getting in and out was very difficult, not just for me but others as well. Class A's with dinghy vehicles also had difficulty. It was normal to ask your... Read More

It was normal to ask your neighbor to move a vehicle so someone could get in or out. I would recommend nothing longer than 28-30 feet. The park itself was clean and the staff was nice. It's close to Rushmore and Crazy Horse and away from traffic in town Gas is around the corner and Wal-Mart is close.

This was an average RV park. However, I'm giving it a low rating because when I called to get a price quote before making a reservation, they didn't give a complete quote. I had asked for a total price after informing them that we had extra adult guests, however, they only quoted the base price. So when we arrived the the bill was over 20% more than quoted including the extra guests fee and tax. They would not honer the price quoted, but said they would give a refund. However, we arrived late... Read More

NO. The front office folks are nice and the staff is good. However, it is a packed little place. They really jam them in there. the other problem is that two sites face each other. this is great if you are traveling with someone but not if you are alone. this leaves little privacy. the grounds are clean and well maintained. However, for the price next time we will stay a little more further away.

decent campground for a couple nights stay. Easy access to all the local attractions. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, Manager though was rather rude when questioned about an extra charge. Regardless, would probably stay here again.

Pictures are very deceiving, campground is very crowded and you share the covered patio and fire ring( fire ring is what they must consider to be the grill at the site). Woke up to a half case of beer on our table on the patio and several beer cans strewn around the patio. We did not enjoy sitting outside because we had several people staring at us from the camper sharing the space. There are 2 picnic tables under the covered patio but the neighbors seemed to need both for their large party. Did... Read More

We did not enjoy sitting outside because we had several people staring at us from the camper sharing the space. There are 2 picnic tables under the covered patio but the neighbors seemed to need both for their large party. Did not appear that there was any personnel that looked at what was happening in the grounds, party would go late into the night. Camper had at least 8 people staying in it plus truck parked at site had a man come crawling out in the morning after sleeping. There was a second truck parked in the front of their camper so it was difficult to move around the site without having to walk around vehicles. Bathroom facilities are run down, equipment for the kids to play with was broken. Staff was friendly but no maintenance is being down throughout the campground. No really benefit for being a Good Sam member because they say the offer everyone 10% off. Would not recommend this campground. We saw several others that were far more appealing in the area.

The costs is not worth the stay for this park. The sites are small and crowded, if you have a pavilion it is shared, rules do not seem to be enforced nor adhered to, If you have any rig over 30' in length I would not attempt to stay here, good luck with parking your auto as well.

Very nice older RV park

This campground is a classic example of a business that has taken all of the profit out and put very little back for improvement. I would guess that it was built in the middle to late 60's and only minimal upkeep has been done. One of the "requirements" is that you will have a secure connection to the sewer pipe because they don't have a threaded connection for you to hook to. They are happy to let you know that they will sell you a secure fitting for your hose in their store. Problem was, they... Read More

I will not return here.

This place should be named "Not So Happy Campground" I was Shocked,,, the pictures and the Good Sams Club rating are a joke. First of all the pictures are from times long ago and do not reflect the current condition of the park and Good Sam Club should force this campground to remove these old pictures because they are deceiving the public. This is the first campground I have ever seen where you have to share your campfire ring and sitting area with another camper. I read nothing about that online.... Read More

This is the first campground I have ever seen where you have to share your campfire ring and sitting area with another camper. I read nothing about that online. The Wifi is terrible,,, and the place in general is run down in my opinion and is way overpriced. I intend to notify the Good Sam Club and demand that they investigate this place so more people like me aren't mid-lead by outdated fancy pictures and false ratings

Campground a bit rundown compared to pictures. Trash bins full to overflowing. Wifi in the park is just plain awful. Bathrooms and laundry are fine. Looks great from the road but not much room at each site. Somehow, however, they manage to accommodate the largest rigs. Nice folks running the place. Probably would look for a park with more room next time. However the location is great for so many activities. Custer would be our choice next time for all the Black Hills has to offer. Shaded campground with cover picnic area next to parking site. Narrow because of the covered picnic area, shared by next door camper. Located north of all the attractions in the Black Hills. Rented a car there. Black hills car rental drove to our camp site and picked up car after we left.

The pictures were taken at the parks peak and it really doesn't look like that now. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad park just not what i expected after looking at the pictures. The shelters are shared and if the other campers just happen to smoke cigars and drink til 11 or 12 then oh well. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We had a fun time at our stay there in the Black Hills and highly recommend it just not this campground we saw several that looked a lot nicer in the same area.
