I have read other reviews and do agree that the concrete pads are not level. My advice: get over it and bring extra blocks. A number of sites have hot tubs! I was informed upon making my reservation that those sites are for Blue Green Resort owners. I am not a hot tub fan, but did check them out. And yes, the water was hot and clean. If available, I will definitely stay there again. I believe that the Good Sam rating is too low.

There is also a large RV park sort of added on to the property. The RV side is divided up into 3 zones with about 50 sites per zone, each with a bathhouse and laundry room. We stayed in the lower zone, which was within easy walking distance to the main recreation building and pools. Walking.a thing that most folks do not do here. Never seen so many golf carts ever. Seems to be a "locals" hangout. RV's come in with 2 or 3 chase vehicles, almost always including golf carts, RV park has no apparent rules as to how many people/vehicles can share a site, so they bring them all and every toy/gadget/electric gizmo imaginable. Gone are the days that kids run around or ride a bike.if it's not a hover board or has a motor.well, the Joneses are falling behind. RV side is a complete split personality depending on day of week. Monday thru Thursday its quiet, adult and very pleasant. Then Friday comes, and the hordes descend. Campground Armageddon. Golf cart races, bonfires, 20 persons per site.off the chain crazy. That said, we really like the place overall. The sites are all paved and extra wide with trees and shrubs in between for some privacy. Previous reviews complain about the level.no, the sites aren't perfectly level (are there any anywhere?) but it wasn't horrible and was completely manageable with a lego or two under the tires. Having a paved site was awesome. Utilities were logically placed and worked well. Wifi was good during the week and not so much on the weekends when the kids who weren't hoverboarding were streaming movies. Laundry is FREE!* (* free, but the machines are tiny) We stayed 3 weeks here, so saw the cycle a few times. Had to call security twice. Once when a bunch of drunk teens had a late night golf cart race and crashed into each other and again when one of our backyard neighbors held an amplified rap karaoke concert after midnight. Both times, they responded r promptly and handled the issues. There is a lot to do in this area of Virginia. The rural countryside is pastoral and charming with farms and forests and rolling hills. C'ville itself likes to take on a young hipster vibe, no doubt influenced greatly by the 20,000+ students attending the University of Virginia, which is literally in town. Consequently, traffic greatly sucks in town. As for stores and provisions, they have it all. Saw our 1st Trader Joe's in 4 years! History buffs will really love this area. # founding fathers' homes are within 30 miles (Monticello, Mont Pelier and Monroe's home) and several Civil War dramas played out locally. In Gordonsville there is an elegant old train hotel that was converted into a Confederate war hospital treating over 70,000 wounded soldiers. Virginia wine country is all around and we explored and tasted at several local wineries. We were impressed by a few (Keswick, Barboursville and MerilleAnne) while others were complete crap. Still, we had no idea that Virginia even HAD a wine industry and were happy to check it out. Many of the wineries host weekly/monthly events featuring local music and food. Fun!

If you stay in the RV park you have full access to the rest of the amenities and it is 1200 acres. As far as the amenities, they have a lot of stuff to do. They have multiple pools and hot tubs, so that's nice. There is a bar at the pool as well. They have a store that also has a deli/pizza place and the pizza is really good. There is a restaurant on site that service decent food and also has a bar in it. This is a place that you can just go and chill and stay there. There really isn't a ton of stuff to do close by unless you like to visit wineries which can be fun too. If you like to hike there is a golf course that is attached to the property that has been shut down for several years, it is an awesome place to walk. You can walk the golf cart track and it very hilly, but still easy to walk in because it's asphalt, lots of wildlife on the golf course to see. We'd go back for sure and plan to.

However, when we arrived they had us in a short back-in. By the time we got everything straightened out (the staff was very courteous), it was dark. Nobody escorts you to the site. The street names and site numbers are carved into wooden signs and are impossible to read in the dark. We finally located our site to find that there was a tree on the right front corner and a rail fence on the front left corner. Not only was the concrete site small and obviously not designed for large RV's, it was incredibly unlevel. Advertised WiFi is non-existent, even with a WiFi Ranger. The area and grounds are very pretty, but one of the staff even admitted to us that "the people who designed the RV park didn't know what they were doing." We have no plans on returning.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed in. One can bike ride (although some areas are hilly), horseback ride, carriage rides, play in two heated pools or sit in two hot tubs. There is a mini golf course in the woods, a playground, volleyball, basketball, free paddleboats, canoe rentals, golf, and so much more. The area is beautiful but it is difficult to find at night. We suggest arriving in the daytime.

Stay in a cabin or a tent but not ready for trailers! The RV pads, though some were paved, were NOT level and had some of the worst slopes and settings for the hook-ups which were full. The cable that was offered was analog but did work. The WIFI was impossible to get out where I was so updating maps had to wait. Same with cellular signal which was just enough for emails. Best to know up front that this place is NOT a great place to stay in my experience though if you like cabins and Yurts (the tent like buildings) then it is ok. I still think over-all it is about a 2*
