This is a charming and scenic campground. While relatively small, it was easy to get our large truck and 5th wheel around the loop and into our site. It was a little tricky getting to the location, which required doing a turn around at the next intersection. If you are driving from the north, call and get the directions, Our site was large and level, with a concrete pad and patio. Most of the sites are gravel. This is a charming and scenic campground. While relatively small, it was easy to get our large truck and 5th wheel around the loop and into our site. If you are driving from the north, call and get the directions, Our site was large and level, with a concrete pad and patio. Most of the sites are gravel. Our site was fully shaded, so we couldn't use our antenna we knew this when we booked, so it didn't bother us. Other sites have good antenna line of sight. The wifi was great, supporting streaming at night. We didn't use the bathhouse or laundry, so we can't comment on those. The one drawback to this park is its proximity to the highway it is pretty noisy. However, the campground and lake are beautiful.

There is no internet. The man who checked us in said it is best on the other side of the lake. Would have been nice to walk around the area and lake however the grass had not been cut for awhile. The ants invaded our couch, it took days to get rid of

I'm so sorry you had a negative experience. We now have park wide WiFi that is accessible at every site. The grounds are also very well maintained and it's a nice walk around the lake. We are under new management so I do hope you'll give us another try.

Beautiful campsite on lake pull through. Right off of 49 so just turn right and see if they have any unavailable. If no one in office then no more left. You can easily get back on 49 and continue on your way. Wendy is great.

Thank you - I'm so glad you had a great experience. The office is now staffed Mon-Sat 10am to 6:30pm and Sun noon-6:30pm. And we now have online booking to check site availability. But of course - drop ins are welcome too! :)

Campground had a 3.5 rating so figured it ok for the night. No one on duty so site. # was taped to the door. Put cash in envelope and slipped through door. Got to sight to set up and had to pickup pork chop bones that had been left behind. Park had many full timers and sites were not in the best of shape. Never did see manager/owner during our stay. Will not stay at this campground again and do not recommend it.

I am very sorry that was your experience at Wendy Oaks. We are under new management, upgrades have been made and more to come. There are still full timers here but rules/policies have been implemented to keep sites clean. I sincerely hope you'll give us another try. I'm working hard to make every campers experience at Wendy Oaks a great one.

Very friendly staff does not overcome the lack of appeal.The cluttered and unkempt long term sights really drags the park down. Acceptable for overnighting, but not convenient to the interstate.

I do hope you'll give us another try. We've been under new management since April 2020 and I've worked hard to improve the appeal of the park and lake. I honestly think you'd be pleasantly surprised at our improvements. There are still full timers at the park but I've implemented new policies/rules to keep sites looking clean and/or tidy. Please consider giving us another chance when traveling on Highway 49.

This is a lovely park with a beautiful lake and scenery. The proprietor is very nice and the camp site easily accomadated our 5th wheel. Well worth the stay.
