What an awful experience! We checked in with our dog - which all of the front desk people met and loved her! We were there for two days during which time the staff played with her. When the management KNOCKED/SLAMMED on our door and asked us if we had a pit bull dog. We said 'no', Spot is a Dalmatian mix - which is obvious when you see her.. mostly Dalmatian. It made no difference. We were initially told that we had to leave immediately. I requested to leave the following morning. They reluctantly... Read More

Unless you have a 'purse dog', you should not go to this place.

Avoid this place like the plague. Unfriendly rude Manager. New management has ruined a once nice but expensive park. They offer nothing now. You can not even get a roll of toilet paper. Also if you are an extended stay, they will rep you off when you finally leave. Ripped us off a whole month.

September 16-20, 2020. Due to Covid-19 the bathrooms, showers, pool & game room were closed. This place is very well maintained. Excellent selection of RV needs in the store (cables, hoses, caulking, fittings, gaskets, etc). Plenty of space between spaces (about 20 feet). Nice plush green grass everywhere. Lot's of bushes, trees and folage. Everyone is friendly. 145 sites with full hook-ups. Minimal highway noise & a couple trains went by. Easy on/off access to I-82. Plenty of room to maneuver even... The RV park was very clean. Not much contact with anyone other than when we arrived. The grounds were very well maintained. There were two off leash dog areas. Neither were much bigger than our RV. No shade either. My real problem is that they charged for pets. The rates were the highest I've paid, so far. We've been out on the road for 8 weeks. Even though the grounds were nice, I had poor WiFi.. I understand that the parks don't want you streaming, but I couldn't even check my email on their WiFi.... Read More

Arrived on a Sunday shortly after 5:00 to learn office closes at 5:00 - hours not shown on website - but friendly staff took me into the office to pick one of the 6 or 7 open sites out of the 145 sites at the park. Reservations are probably a good idea. A camp host then took us to our spot- a wide, long, level pull through lined with smooth rocks and surrounded by beautiful, green, perfectly manicured grass and gorgeous landscaping. The bathrooms offered the cleanest private toilet, sink and shower. I saw the fenced area for dogs to be off leash, beautiful green grass in there as well. I wish we had more to stay and explore the campground and general store but I was impressed with what I saw just staying overnight. Best and most beautiful RV park I have ever stayed in by far!

I can't say enough about how great of an RV park this is. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, the park is beautiful and well taken care of. In all the years we have RVed (over 35) I have never been to a nicer campground.

We ended up staying at Columbia Sun this past Memorial Day weekend due to a last minute change when we decided to abandon plans to stay at a less than stellar state park. As a newbie, this was a great first experience! Staff absolutely wonderful, entire RV park well taken care of with room between sites. Great activities too. Bathrooms clean and nice hot shower! They had a pull through, which was a plus. They are popular, so plan ahead and reserve early.

One of the best campgrounds I have stayed at. Clean, well maintained, all the sites clean and of a very nice size and layout even the lawns were some of the best I have ever seen for a RV park.. I cannot say anything wrong with this Park as there was nothing wrong.

This is the greatest stay we've had this year. My husband is wheelchair bound and they really did all they could to help make the gravel site work for us. They are just happy people!!

This park was one of the best parks we used during a month long visit to Oregon, Washington and Canada. The park is easy to see from the freeway but far enough away so that noise is not a factor. They have a well organized and efficient check in process with a very friendly staff. Wide paved roads and pads (except for one small gravel area) make for easy maneuvering in and out of the park. We found hookups to be easy with restrooms that are large and clean. In addition to the pool there is a sport... Read More

Landscaping is well maintained so you can feel comfortable and relaxed if you choose to sit outside.

We were passing through the area and found this park along the way. We only spent one night but what a beautiful park it was. We arrived late with no problems finding our space. Large spaces and beautiful landscaping. Nice dog area. Would have liked to spend another night just to check out the rest of the resort. Would definitely stay here again if we pass through.

We stayed 4 nights to visit several nearby NPS sites. The park is a short drive from I-82 (Exit 109) along secondary streets. While it is close to town, accessing services require a drive. There are 3 types of sites (Regular, Deluxe & Supreme) which offer different parking options & amenities. The interior roads are paved. The roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV's but the only place to connect toads for back in sites is on the main roads which would interfere with traffic.... Read More

The roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV's but the only place to connect toads for back in sites is on the main roads which would interfere with traffic. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and P/T's. The P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides as the landscape vegetation is new. This park didn't seem to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level parking pad as part of the park was built on a slope & there was some effort made to level or tier the parking pads but some of the pads require blocking to get level. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. The sewer connection fitting was above ground making it difficult to establish a downhill flow depending on the discharge point. Privacy between the sites depended on the type of site. Orientation of some sites allowed RV's to create shade on passenger side. The landscape vegetation is new so there is nothing to interfere with satellite reception. The park brochure showed 46 channels but no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any OTA channels. The park provided WiFi was weak & password protected. Only saw 1 transceiver on the main building. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell reception. There were 2 designated fenced pet areas with a grass surface located on either side of the park. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet areas & around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads. Pet fee of $1.50/pet/day came as a surprise at check in. There were a couple of areas used for "dry" camping but when those spaces were occupied, users access either electricity and/or water from nearby connections. Saw adults carrying open containers of alcohol with children in tow walking through occupied sites to reach other sites. The park flew a drone for recording purposes. At least the park sent out an email notification of the drone flight but it didn't include the time of the flight. Most of the weekend events charged a minimal fee to attend. Park warns of high water pressure & recommends pressure regulators.

Finally! An RV park that is built and maintained by people who CARE. This place is pristine and spacious. I am still amazed. We had to travel to Missoula Mt. and this was almost a half way point for us so we did a single night over and another on the way back. Would love to have had another night. Although I don't think Tri-Cities would be my vacation destination, this park is beyond words. The people are very kind and helpful, the place is absolutely spotless, and the sites are spacious... This park was designed by people who know RVing. The sites are long, wide and very spacious with beautifully maintained landscaping. The park is relatively new, so the trees are still not big enough to offer much shade, but most sites are set up so when you sit outside your rig you have sun in the morning and shade in the afteroon. The roads throughout are paved and wide. The supreme sites are paved and the regular back-in and deluxe pull-thru sites are done in a larger landscaping gravel. The... Read More

We have stayed in RV parks all across the country that call themselves "resorts". Columbia Sun actually earns that title. Everything about it, from the layout of the sites to the landscaping and grass that looks more like a golf course than an RV park, is absolutely first class. Very friendly staffing with well maintained grounds. Have been here since middle of September and will be here until first week of November. Will be staying here again when we return to the area.
