We stayed at this park over the 4th of July. The sites are large and have full hook up. Reception is good in the area. Wi-Fi worked well once they gave us the password. Cement pad was nice and the fire pit was large. The picnic table was a nice one, with no need for table cloth. Bathrooms were GREAT! Very clean and so nice to have the kind where you can have toilet, sink, shower and enough room to move around in. Just like home. The problem though is that when you don't need to shower and only need... Read More

The problem though is that when you don't need to shower and only need to use the restroom, you sometimes need to wait for the people in there showering or doing hair, etc. Some people are in there quite a while. There were only 4 bathrooms. The office was empty and still under construction. This became troublesome because when we wanted to ask questions, like what Wi-Fi password was, or where garbage dumpster was, or questions about our bill, we couldn't find anyone. You basically have to wait around until you see the guy drive by to quick catch him to ask things. We ended up being late to check out because we spent so much time wandering around to the beach and back looking for the owner and then were told that since we checked out late, we had a $22 late charge for not leaving at noon. The beach is fun for the kids and clean. I am paranoid about lake bacteria being in the news and they told me that they put chemicals in the pond to help keep it cleaner, so that was reassuring. They put on a really nice fireworks show right there at the campgrounds. There is really nothing for kids to do there if the beach isn't open. I think once a playground and/or game room is open someday, it will be a nicer stay. We really thought we would give this place a chance again someday once they were done with construction, but I am still waiting on the owner to email me back about my bill/late fee. Once we left, he stopped responding to my emails. That was the only way I could communicate with him to ask where garbage dumpster was, etc because we couldn't locate him and there is no functioning office to speak of yet. That is my biggest issue with the place, as I am used to being able to walk to front desk to ask questions, see my bill, etc, So to be charged a late fee for getting out slowly after trying to find him to discuss our final bill and where the dumpster was (we were trying to keep the place neat and tidy for them) and where we should park so the kids could swim after we checked out, was a quick turn off. I understand if they had someone checking in right after us, but they didn't and mostly, I just would have liked a response to my last email asking to find out what my final bill was with the late charge, etc. He has yet to respond to me, so that is disappointing. The owner was really friendly with my husband when we were there and I think they are trying really hard to get the place up and running, so I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This is the 2nd year I have spent a holiday here. My wife , my son and his family and l love it here. The owner is always working to make your stay enjoyable. The park is immaculate. Washrooms very new and clean. Fishing is was excellent, lots of bass. The park is small but well laid out, everyone is friendly , and never seen anyone get out of hand. If I could find a down side I think a playground would be nice.

Since this park received two good reviews and is part of the Good Sam's site, we booked a trip over Labor Day weekend based on this. I usually am not one to write reviews but I really think that others who may be considering staying here really understand what this campsite is like. It's a brand new campsite and you can tell. It's not 100% complete - the bathrooms, while nice, were not completely done, i.e. the borders of the doors, the "office" is an empty building with a counter and the trees... Read More

It's not 100% complete - the bathrooms, while nice, were not completely done, i.e. the borders of the doors, the "office" is an empty building with a counter and the trees that have been planted are mere saplings. This campsite is located at the back of an industrial park and borders a neighborhood so it not very aesthetically pleasing. Based on your site location you may be right next to someone's backyard. Those of us used to more established campsites are used to there being a park, maybe a pool, a basketball court, miniature golf, an indoor room/den connected to the office with games/books/cards, SOMETHING for kids to play on/with. The small man-made lake with the inflatable toys is fun but if you go on a day where the weather would not permit swimming there is absolutely nothing to do at the campsite or in the surrounding area. We were located next to the bathrooms and since there is nothing scenic at this campsite our only choices when not at the lake was to sit and stare at our own camper or watch the other campers come and go from the bathrooms. Based on our observations they definitely need another set of bathrooms located at the other end of the site because these bathrooms had showers in them and there were often people waiting. We went in a few times and they definitely need to do a better job of monitoring the bathrooms and keep them clean. I do not want to completely bash this campsite. I'm hoping that the kinks are because it is so new and by next summer there will be improvements. Again, I just want others to be aware of what this site is like because the two other "rave" reviews do not give a clear picture.

We came for the swimming beach obviously since it's the only activity here. Disappointed that the beach and water activities didn't open until Saturday. I mean why else would people stay here? There is nothing else to do besides that. There are 6 bathrooms that are very nice and like your own homes bathroom! The wifi didn't work at all....redirected to Comcast website saying bill needed to be paid first. The store is empty, because it's new I assume? Definitely not a full campground. Sites... Read More

This is a brand new RV park located right next to Crystal Lake recreation, RV parking fee includes use of lake and water toys. All sites are full hook up with 20/30/50 amp. Bathrooms/showers are immaculate and very good size. Park is clean, trees have been planted but are still pretty small so if you have satellite there should be no problem with reception. Each site has nice size picinic table on cement pad, with grassy area as well as each site has a fire ring, sites were nearly level (crushed... Read More

Just a few miles down the road is a walmart and walgreens. Park owner came around several times a day just to make the rounds and say hi to everyone, making sure everyone knew where everything was. We had a great stay here and will return.
