Made reservations for the 11th of June. We arrived and the office was closed with a phone number to call for assistance. I called and had to leave a voicemail. while we were wondering what to do, another renter pulled up and said to just grab any open spot. So we did, We departed the next morning at 9am and after 2 hours on the road. The community manager finally called back to see if she could help! This is completely unacceptable and I could not recommend anyone to stay there.

We recently purchased park model trailer that was already here and absolutely love the place . The staff and guests are really great . Look forward to many years here.

Stayed here on 2 separate nights, as a waypoint on our recent Maine vacation. Nice, clean campground, nicely equipped with night lights at each site, and necessary 3-point hookups. It's a little tricky to get into the campground, but the roads are well marked; do NOT be surprised at the steep hill from Rt. 119. (See note below.) Our site was very level and clear. It's a little tricky to get into the campground, but the roads are well marked; do NOT be surprised at the steep hill from Rt. 119. (See note below.) Our site was very level and clear. Staff was extremely nice and very helpful. We did not test the pool or other facilities with our travel trailer, but it sounded like people were really enjoying the pool. Seems like a lot of seasonal campers. There were a limited number of pull-through sites where you could park a Class A. Advance reservations might be a good idea. Free WIFI worked pretty well. Cellular coverage was almost nonexistent (Consumer Cellular, which uses ATT, I think), but this is not the fault of the campground! It did present a challenge, as no one was at the ranger station for check-in when we arrived on either date. It was a little hard to call the posted phone number, although the staff did arrive quickly. This campground might be a bit dusty. It's basically dirt/sand, with no paved roads in the campground. Price was very nice - both nights we used our Passport America card, though obviously they accept Good Sam, too. The staff will tell you this: If you're coming to Hinsdale from the east via Rt. 9, DO NOT TAKE RT. 63 as a shortcut into Hinsdale!!!! This is a miserable excuse for a state highway. Go on into Brattleboro and cross the bridges into NH from downtown Brattleboro. Or take Rt. 10 from Keene instead of Rt. 9, and come into Hinsdale that way. But avoid Rt. 63 at all costs. I kid you not.

Very disappointing visit. Site was poorly maintained, I had to trim tree limbs before I could set up and the sewer connection was higher than the site. When we had a heavy rain, there was five inches of water in front of our door. The cable tv is privately owned and goes out every time it rains. You have no wifi at the site, so you have to go to the community building to use your computer. The roads are dirt with no dust prevention. You have no wifi at the site, so you have to go to the community building to use your computer. The roads are dirt with no dust prevention. When cars or rv's drive by, a cloud of dust follows, and blows all over the site. Most of the sites are taken by full time seasonal campers and apparently maintained by the campers. The fire pits at every site are convenient although we never used it. When you get twenty campfires burning at night, you have to keep your windows closed because of the smoke. We do have family nearby but we will not stay at this campground again.
