Resort? No concrete sites or pads! No tables at sites! No pool! No paved roads! Didn't use the rest rooms. They went up on their prices last year but no nothing has been improved. Good for overnight only. Office staff are very nice. Within walking distance of several fast food places and propane is on site.

A busy train track is on the property line, the highway noise and street / truck stop noise and lights are unbearable. I asked a police officer who was sitting in his patrol car about crime in the area and his only comment was, “don’t be here after dark” as he rolled up his window and drove off lights and siren on. I took his advice and hooked back up and left the area immediately. I feel bad for the owners and staff as they were obviously working in a difficult environment and had obviously worked hard at keeping the place up. I don’t recommend staying here unless you bring body armor and a few pit bull guard dogs to tie up outside. I wish the staff and owners well. They have an impossible hill to climb in my opinion. I did not hook up to power or water, use the WiFi nor visit the facilities so I cant comment on that. Also, the exiting traffic is forced to turn right out of the park away from the highway and a big rig will have a difficult time making a uturn to avoid going deeper in the Hood.

We have stayed here many times over the past few years but will make other plans in the future. Problem is, under new management, their rates have gone sky high with no amenity improvements. There are no paved roads or pads, no tables, no shade, inconvenient hookups locations, lots of ants and no pool. The only thing this place has going for it the location near the interstate and Montgomery. It was good for an overnight at $38 but this year when they upped to price to $55 - $60 per night it... There are other choices nearby at Maxwell AFB and Montgomery South RV Park with reasonable prices. Until they come to grips with the rates I would not recommend staying here.

Very disappointed in a park called "The Woods." Almost all sites are bare and treeless. No shade outside at all. Sewer hookup is awkward as it is raised with no way to really use a leveler for sewer hose. For these reasons, I would not camp here after this stay nor recommend to others. Summer in Alabama is hot. Shade at an RV park called the woods is expected.

Great location that is very easy on and off the interstate. I was disappointed with the number of full time junky looking rigs parked there. Also, our site needed fresh gravel to help fill in the ruts and holes. I'd stay here again, but it could definitely use some work

We have a 40 foot goose-neck car-hauler with living area. We did not use the restrooms. Great campground, nice, clean large sites. We were just passing thru so we only stayed one night. Leaving, you can not turn left so we did not know there was a turn around down the road. But there is and it is a little ways down the road, but the turn around is big enough for large campers.

Disappointed with this park -- would not recommend anyone stay here. *. Lots of what looks like abandon RVs throughout the park (or at least very poorly maintained) * Sites are long and thin so if you pull in and put your awning out, you're basically at your neighbor's septic connection * Not very friendly at check in -- door at office is blocked off due to Covid - they haven't figured out how to be friendly yet distant *. Internet connection poor at best * Didn't use restrooms so can't comment... Read More

I would like to post pictures but did not know how. Starting with the greeting oh right there was not one. I got an envelope handed to me the the lady walked away. I had to chase her down to find out how to get to my spot. She told me to look at map. The park it self is run down. Laundry and bathrooms were dirty and showers looked liked they have never been cleaned. There was a nice pond but all those spots were occupied by long term rvs. There was water, electric and and sewer hook up at site.... Read More

I was so disappointed in this campground. The bathhouse was not cleaned the entire time I was there. We stayed 4 nights. There was no paper towels the entire stay. The bathhouse was filthy. The noise was so loud you could not sleep. You could hear the interstate noise all night. There is a train that runs nearby. The whistle wakes you several times a night. I don't normally write a review, but this place was so bad I would like people to know what they are getting. The price is cheap and... Read More

Stayed overnight. Nice park with restaurants within walking distance. BUT - Avoid the TA service station across the road. This TA was the worst one I have ever encountered. Two double-sided pumps, display could not be read, had to enter the store to ask the cashier what was happening at the pump after I had swiped my card. Then three more times with the final time a display finally appeared telling me to 'Wait a minute' so I cancelled the transaction and left.

We stayed here for 2 nights. I don't know if it was the bad weather they had recently with Michael going through and it had rained prior to us arriving or due to the fact the site was paved using road base rock in stead of gravel or actual paving, but the site was flooded in the lawn area and the roads were full of ruts and chuck-holes making driving through the park and setting up a muddy slow mess. The one person checking us in told us to move over a site if our site was flooded but all sites... Read More

The location was difficult to find in the dark but once set up' the park was quiet and access to freeways easy. lots of restaurants and business close by. We didn't use the facilities no the lake.

Simple no-frills RV Park. Sites were gravel at some point in the past, but haven't been tended or leveled in a while and are a mix grass/gravel. Sites are medium sized, fine for smaller rigs. Space in between is ok, with mown grass lawns. Some sites have a concrete patio, our row did not. Sewer connection much higher than ground causing backup in hose. Decent cable line-up with 68 channels. Park is just off I-65 about 5 miles south of downtown. Busy road with numerous fast food joints.... Read More

In flight path for Maxwell AFB, many C-130's flying over. Piggly Wiggly on Court Street is a BIG PASS.run down.horrible produce.. Much better option is Winn Dixie one exit South on 65. Best thing about this park is it's proximity to Montgomery, about 4 miles.

Very nice campground. Plenty of space to get in and out with my 35 footer. Entrance is very hard to find after dark. GPS would be very useful.

A Very Nice Park. Long Pull Thru Sites, most with Full Hookups. Kind of a jewel in the rough! I highly recommend this park to anyone. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. Compared to some parks we have had some really bad experiences with STAFF, NOT HERE! Excellent hospitality! We were here during the Florida Hurricane evacuation, so the park was pretty full. The park has very high water pressure, so you need a pressure regulator on your water line.

Very good location though it may be a little tricky to find the entrance. The attendant was very helpful. Very easy to park and get out.

Very easy in and out from I-65. Sites were pull-thru and level with 50 amp service and full hookups. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed overnight and would stay here again. Wi-Fi and Cable were so-so.

Good RV park for an overnight stay with easy on/off of I-65. Traffic noise a little loud. Didn't use the restroom or laundry facilities during our one night stay, so can't comment on their condition. The site was long and level, so that we could keep truck and trailer hooked up. Didn't use the WIFI; but instead of getting the 67 cable channels on their channel guide, we were only able to receive 3. As mentioned in other reviews, several fast-food options within walking distance of the front gate... Read More

We have stayed here since it's opening. With every trip the park grows and gets better. We highly recommend Woods for over night or a longer stay.

GREAT WIFI ,PLENTY OF CHANNELS FROM CABLE,REAL WATER PRESSURE...SITES ARE LEVEL...LITTLE BIT WET BECAUSE OF RAIN...RESTAURANTS A PLENTY...QUIET LOCATION, CLOSE TO INTERSTATE...PLENTY OF DOG WALKING ROOM...

Staff was very friendly. Location was close enough to walk to places to eat. Open pull through sites. Heavy rains made the location very muddy. We were able to get propane there saving us a trip.

Good place for an overnight. Staff is very friendly and offered our small group use of the pavilion with firewood for the evening. Gravel and wide open with few trees but all sites are pull through with no need to unhook a tow. Water pressure is very high necessitating use of a reducer. Office has them if needed. Lot of places for dinner within walking distance. Nearby Arby's has ice for sale.

3 3 out of 5 stars 10/03/2015

Grass and gravel sites, but they are level, WiFi is usable, no trees or shade to be found. We have stopped here 3-4 times and it is ok for a night or two. No pool. Trash is put in dumpster on the way our of the park.
