The primary reason we stay at Lakeview is because of its pool and it is July, visiting family in Bristol. There are no other campgrounds in Bristol that have a pool most are geared for the NASCAR crowd. That being said, we've stayed here 3 times. Our sites have been level with good utilities. Cable TV is extra. Antenna will pick up 6 or so stations. Verizon reception was 2-3 bars. There are trees at some sites, with limited shade. The manager is helpful. Pool was large enough for the grandkids.... Read More

Pool was large enough for the grandkids. There is a lot of construction going on in the area and a number of RV's were long term workers. There is a large dog park near the entrance but poop bag stations are located throughout the campground. There is a nice meeting room and social area next to the office. Being that the place is gravel, lots of dust. An acceptable place to base while visiting the Bristol area.

We use to like staying here as it's close to family in the area and a good overnight as a pass-thru traveling to southern states. This use to be a Good Sams Park but not anymore. The original owner passed away and a group of guys bought it. It's not the fun park we use to know. We see signs of run-down which deter us from staying as often as we did. The Pool is not heated unless the sun is out ( so either this is a lie or it's broke down). The pool needs to be repaired as cracks and tile breaking... Read More

The Pool is not heated unless the sun is out ( so either this is a lie or it's broke down). The pool needs to be repaired as cracks and tile breaking off. The park is now overrun by full-timers and month-to-month renters being catered to. The Monthly Rate is way to low for this park to survive. We talked a quite a few full-timers. I was shocked to find out how much they were paying verse a week. I should have gone with the month and rolled after my week was up. All the Fulltimers have good spots. You asked to move to a better spot and you're told you can't as due to your length of stay none is open but the Drive thru's which cost more. So others must have gotten my idea above. The laundry room needs to be cleaned, and machines fixed. Grass all burned up on all spots. WIFI is stolen by pirates as it's open and not secure. Supply Store has nothing you need and I give it a 1 star only. This is far far far from before. I just needed ketchup. I really hope these new owners turn it around, as we use to love this place.

We only stayed one night in transit. First the good, nice pool, very nice bathroom/shower. Also, we had food from grill and it was good. Spot was REALLY tight was pretty level (for loose gravel). Now the bad: I think the majority of campers there thought they were up the road at Bristol Speedway. I swear some were going 25 to 30 MPH !!!! Speed limit was posted at 10 MPH (which is double most parks) and most were exceeding. The grass was REALLY long and full of bugs when we arrived. But alas, the... Read More

But alas, the landscapers arrived before 8AM on a Saturday to cut and weedeat !!! The "lakeview" consisted of a marsh full of cattails. We knew this in advance from other reviews. NOW, the really "bad", The park advertises as being Good Sam which normally entitles members to a discount, I requested same and was told that no discounts were honored "in season". We would only stay here "in transit" if no other good options.

Feeling totally misled by Good Sam and Lakeview site. First of all - no lake, no view, nothing but aging rotting docks sitting well above dry ground and nothing but heavy weed, tree overgrowth. And the park is still across the highway - with no walkway from this lakeside wonderland. No shade at sites. Our site is not close to level. Sites crammed together. Other than that this was a great experience. 8.5 to 9.5? No way. Read the GS web site reviews. One to two stars. How does that average to... Read More

Pictures are not accurate, no river, no boats, no water access. Sites are like a parking lot. Had to share water with neighbors so no water pressure, barely room for awning. Lady didn't care we came to boat and there was no water, she said I should have asked, I said they should change their website and Facebook. No fire ring, no picnic table

NO Shade. Nice pool. Place looks like it was very nice 5 years ago with minimal maintenance since then.
