We stayed at Crosswinds RV Campground for 11 days. In a rural part of North Carolina just an hour from Charlotte, we stayed at the best possible time with the leaves and the weather changing. We were in lot A-14 which was a more wooded pull through site and all roads were paved with gravel sites. The lots themselves were very large where we could easily fit our 38 foot coach and could have 3 vehicles in line with the RV and was more than wide enough with a good buffer area with the neighbors. The lot was generally level and was able to deploy stabilizers without blocks. The park and facilities were clean and all the staff were friendly. It felt like a family park, especially on the weekend, when the locals filled it up. We were there during Halloween and the park had a number of events for the kids. We truly had to "rough it" as we had no WiFi during our stay even though there was a repeater right next to our site - not a problem as there was good Verizon and T-Mobile signal. This is not a high priority for us and for television, there are no cable hook ups but you can get 60 digital over the air channels. Lastly, if are in the area and like bbq, know that you are in the heart of "Lexington-style". We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We have visited this campground twice as it is situated halfway between destinations so both stays were for one night. The office staff were very friendly. The campground is what we would describe as utilitarian. The sites are on gravel covered ground versus blacktop but they were pretty level. The sites are fairly well spaced apart and have the standard amenities. One nice perk was each site had its own garbage can. The campground does not have any particular landscaping so we would not call... Read More

The campground does not have any particular landscaping so we would not call it pretty. We would therefore highly recommend it for short stays. There is one possible anomaly about the area we want to mention. For some reason our GPS seemed to get "confused" about directions when we got off the interstate both times we visited. Apparently this is quite common as when we pulled off the road to get our bearings a young woman came up to us and gave us directions. She said people got lost all the time trying to get there. If you follow he instructions from their website there should be no problem.

Nice park just a short hop off I-85. Not much around in the area. Salisbury is about 15 miles down the road. Lots of good restaurants and shopping. Well-maintained gravel roads and sites. Lots of space between sites with trees and shrubbery separating most sites. Sites not completely level, but leveling jacks handled it well. Very clean and well maintained restrooms and showers. Certainly a good spot to stay if you are through the area.

Lots of nice wooded sites. Some paved roads, some gravel (they appear to be expanding and upgrading some areas). Satellite is available in some areas not at all in others, staff was very helpful in finding a spot for me. Overall a pretty campground.
