I can't understand the 2017 review. This is a Florida State Park and is excellent. We are in site 53 which is in the Palmetto loop. Full hookups!! Each site is gravel, level, fire ring, table and grill. This is a wonderful park and a Florida gem. Took the Myakka Lake boat tour, which is so so for $20. There is a swinging walkway "bridge" and observation tower. That is very enjoyable and within the park. Shopping is about 10 miles on SR 72. We paid $13 a night with Florida discount.

Extremely unprofessional, no response to communication. No one in office upon arrival or departure. Quoted $55 per nigh and for a two night stay credit card was charged $165. No response from owner on excessive charges. Park is not in good condition, site did not accommodate size of trailer as others were taking over areas. Management was no where to be found, finally showed up in bathing suit drinking a beer. Was told this is the off season so they aren't around often. In all the years we have... Read More

We left after trying to back our trailer in, did not stay at all and three days later have still not rec'd any communication from owner on why we were charged more than was quoted.
