Elderly Lady at registration was rude. Asked to have a campsite for a second night and she told me no because they were completely booked. I asked if it was possible to be put on a cancellation list for the second night and was rudely told no because she had already told me they were completely booked. I went to my campsite and went on line and they were NOT booked up. I reserved a site for the second night but ended up canceling it to go somewhere else where the staff was friendlier and wanted... The campground is nice a great location however these are the smallest RV spots I have ever seen. Some campers could not fully extend their awnings. I am full time and stay in hundreds of RV parks and this is the worst in over two years. Good Sams gave this park almost a perfect score is the reason for my reservations. The reason for only one star is due to an extremely rude employee at the check-in desk. Within one minute of opening her mouth I regretted my reservations. Not only was she extremely... Read More

The reason for only one star is due to an extremely rude employee at the check-in desk. Within one minute of opening her mouth I regretted my reservations. Not only was she extremely rude and condescending to me but other customers as well. In the ten minutes of check-in she was rude to three other customers. One customer as a simple question and instead of answering she lectured them about they should have read the information given them upon check-in. This employees behavior is well documented by others on Yelp and other RV park review sites. The only reason to stay here is location.

Location to Vancouver was great! Would stay here again if only for this reason. Park was clean and roads easily travelled. Sites were EXTREMELY close together... Was not able to put out awning because it would hit the rig next to us... Actually felt bad extending our pop outs because it went into the neighboring site. However, we were there to visit the area, not camp, so it was overall a nice stay. Do not turn left out if the park, neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Noted security was working and kicked... Read More

There are times when what you want is proximity to other resources, and this is where Capilano River RV Park really shines. It's a short walk to the shopping mall, restaurants, and bus connectivity, via a backroad crossing over the picturesque river. For a small fee you can buy an all day bus/transit pass, and easily go wherever you want in greater Vancouver. At the end of the day it's an easy walk back to your site, even if you stopped in a local pub for a drink along the way. Plus, after dark,... Read More

At the end of the day it's an easy walk back to your site, even if you stopped in a local pub for a drink along the way. Plus, after dark, there is on-site security staff making regular patrols. The sites are a bit tight, and close together. Don't expect to fully extend your awning in some of them. Because of the proximity, neighbor noise and clutter can be an issue. No outside fires are allowed. Dog facilities were adequate, plus there is easy access to an extended network of walking/running/biking trails. This is the place to go if you want to vacation in the city of Vancouver -- maybe go shopping, see a show, etc. -- but want to travel and stay in your RV. We will definitely be coming here again.
