We stayed here due to a recommendation from a friend who stayed for 3 months and was not disappointed. It is a great park for an urban park. It is built on a slight incline so you will need a bit of leveling in most sites (2 blocks in ours). The staff was excellent, the restrooms/showers were clean, the utilities all worked well. The site was gravel and easy to use and access. Plenty of room for us to park our Tow Vehicle. You can hear freeway noise, (in what park can't you hear traffic or... Read More

You can hear freeway noise, (in what park can't you hear traffic or train noise) but it is at a comfortable level. Staff guided us in and helped place the trailer. It is a family park so enjoy the healthy noise from the kids playing in the park. We would definalty stay here again.

This Park is HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY THERE! Staff to check in also has to answer phones and take reservations, we waited for extensive time every time we went into the office. The escort to the site acted put out to help us. The sites are not level, are so close our jeep blocked our door to get in and the awning for the next lot was inches away from our slide. We only have a 32’ rig!! The showers were the only good thing I can say for the place and they were only average. The price to value is terrible,... Read More

The price to value is terrible, the location is ok but they cram so many in the park that it feels like a trailer storage lot instead of an RV park. I stayed in 10 parks on this excursion and this one was the most expensive and the worst of all. I will never stay here again and I will warn anyone I see to stay away. With the Good Sam rating I question if a kick-back is involved because this is not even close to a 2 rating and they are giving 9’s and 10’s!!!

Good Sam’s needs to come back to this place and rate it again!!!!! Since my husband retired and I was still working, he made all the reservations, but never looked at the review, just good Sam ratings!! This is a dump. I would rather stay at at Walmart parking lot, and trust me I have. I can’t wait to see the other places look like. This is going to be a long month!! The spaces are so small my rug reaches to the next RV.

GoG RV Resort Review. I called to make initial one night reservation, a week or so later I called back to extend it to a 2-night reservation and then called a 3 Rd time 2 weeks later to move it out one day later than planned. Staff seemed nice enough and accommodating.... BUT NOBODY GAVE ME A WARNING ABOUT THEIR ISSUES WITH GPS. Whether you use Apple maps or Google maps...they both direct you to the EXIT of the park....as opposed to the front entrance. Lucky for them I got there after their early closing time, so when I actually found my way around to the entrance, I was met by the night watchman. When I barked at him about the screwed-up GPS, he laughed it off and said "Yeah everybody knows about it, but the owners can't get Google to change it. Have you ever tried to get Google to change anything?" No, but lots of parks have "issues" with GPS directions. The staff tell you about them, their websites warn you about them....GoG on the other hand said nada, zip, zilch. NOTHING. Why is it a big deal...because to get from the back to the front towing a 43 + foot 5er isn't just as easy as going around the block, especially when your GPS stops updating.... see ATT below. If this happens to you, my suggestion is DRIVE IN THE EXIT GATE. Now.. for the rest of the review. While “RESORT” is in their name and they do have two swimming pools, this is NOT a resort like a Rayford Crossing in the Woodlands or Stella Mare in Galveston.... GoG has 5-6 concrete/flat pads. The rest are all gravel and some are fairly flat. Our spot was not flat, but we were able to get level. Then the line from the tank dump to the park sewer connection then ran UPHILL.?? The parking spaces are very, very close....so close that your picnic table is sitting within 5 feet to the LEFT of your neighbor’s sewer connection. When it was barely above freezing the 1st week of May....wasn't used, do not an issue. Come humid mid-summer....Hmmmm??? They seem to have propane service, but their website does not mention it. Did not use their laundry or showers or go in their office, wife wouldn't let me. She knew I wanted to get the GPS thing off my shoulders. Wi-Fi is a joke....my tablet wouldn't connect, nor would my laptop. I was able to get my email over my mobile phone, but that was it, but it took forever. ATT cellular was 1-2 bars...SOMETIMES…. then going to ZERO. We both lost connectivity at the back gate, the early evening when we arrived. So, we had no clue how to get back to the front gate on the narrow road. This was observed on both Apple and 'Droid devices. ?? The park seemed clean enough, not a lot of trash and junk around parked rigs...even the ones that looked long term or permanent. While I didn't have a problem with my 2020 43 ft Vilano, big rigs beware.... turns are tight and not easy for the novice driver or faint of heart.?? Guests park near the road on some turns, making it more difficult. When you come in the front gate, one of the first signs you see, has a corner bent and says "CAUTION TIGHT TURNS".???? All in all, were it not for the weather, we would have/could have enjoyed our stay.....except WE PAID $90.00 A NIGHT to stay in a unlevel, gravel pad, no cable, terrible wi-fi, no satellite reception RV park. $40-50 a night and I would have not said a word...other than maybe complain that the staff said nothing about the GPS issue. $90 a night and given what their webpage pictures show...I was expecting something like Rayford Crossing or Stella Mare.?????? In my opinion the "price to value" equation is way NEGATIVE.

The Garden of the Gods RV Resort is the worst campground I have ever stayed at. It's more like a parking lot than an RV camp. There are weeds everywhere, the area smells like manure, and RVs are jam-packed together. I will never stay there again.

The following list of deficiencies: Park entry is confusing and no signage Interior roads poorly labeled, Rows not labeled Sites are short and narrow- had only one option to back due to traffic parked in opposing isle. Numerous sites in park causing 'cramped' conditions Site was unlevel, 2.5-3 inches off side to side Sewer connection 4-5 ft from picnic tables Litter throughout the park including in a dry creek drainage area. Numerous full timers creating a crowded atmosphere Extremely poor cell service (AT and T) This is an RVC Outdoor RV park. It does not even come close to the other RVC parks (excellent parks) and doesn't meet their standards. Will not return here.

Very disappointing facility. They even upgraded us to a premium site after the one they first assigned us was too short. We were in N3 and trailers are packed like sardines. In order to disconnect/access my water, I had to crawl under my neighbors slide-out. Literally, they had to drive within 6 inches of the water valve to fit in their space. On the door side, I had my neighbors sewer connection within 2 feet of my steps, and their power box within 3 feet. Oh, and the rate was ~$66 per night... Read More

Oh, and the rate was ~$66 per night weekday and $82 on the Friday night when we decided to stay an extra night. The fees are ridiculous for how congested this site is. It is a ripoff. What is really sad is there are few options in the area as other parks had more issues. Also very challenging to maneuver our 41' fifth wheel as there are many tight back to back switch back turns to get in and out of the sites. I would first consider Cheyenne Mountain State Park, or during summer Woodland Park campgrounds. This facility really needs to be ripped up and designed over. I was told by staff it was originally constructed in the 1950's and it appears true. The image they show for cover on Good Sam is false advertising of the general park sites. How this facility scores a 10 for Facility and 9.5 for Appeal clearly indicates that Good Sam needs to revise their scoring criteria to provide accurate information for members. I would love to post my own pictures of the sites, but Good Sam does not have this option. I will post photos to CampgroundReviews.com

Luxury big rig travelers beware: the six "Executive Pull Through sites" have concrete road construction barriers placed across the front of the sites with months worth of debris, garbage, six foot tall construction fencing, 4 foot tall weeds, and a construction zone of constantly beeping construction vehicles as your view. Obviously, the sites are no longer pull throughs but cramped drive in and back out sites. In my three phone conversations with park personnel prior to arrival, none of this was ever mentioned.

Let me start by saying the staff was great. I feel bad they have to field so many complaints and concerns. Now to the park. There is no security. Spaces are too close and there is really no place to park a car. Sites are not level. There is no internet and only got 2 channels of the cable to work with any reliability. Even their electric system runs low (108-115 volts). Not coming back.

The good thing about this park is that it is conventiently located. If not for that, we would find another place to stay. This is our second time here and this time we had our two bicycles stolen from our site. It was our fault for not having them locked up, but for the price we pay, there should be some type of night security. Now I'm even leary to leave my chairs and grill out. Filed a police report so we'll see if anything comes fromt that. The office wasn't much help other than telling us... Read More

The campground is always crowded and people constantly coming and going. The sites are very close to each other so to make backing tough. There is no grass around, just gravel and asphalt drives. Our site was pretty level, but I see some rigs with their front tires off the ground. We were here last September and the construction is still going on. This wifi doesn't work and cell phone cover is not much better. The office staff is not much help, they are very good at making excuses versus helping accomodate the guests. When I was waiting in line at the office, one staff complain about a guests comments after she hung up the phone not caring that me and another guests were listening.

We have a 42 foot 5th wheel. The sites are very close and when we put out our awning, it was only a couple of feet from our neighbor. Our neighbor's sewer line and drop were right by our picnic table. I have never stayed at an RV park where this was done. Very poor planning. We were jammed in like sardines. We had 2 neighbors approach us to see if we had power -- they had lost power and couldn't get the office to answer their phone. We did not lose power, but apparently several did. The front pool was basically unusable because it was at the front of the park where all the major construction was taking place. If you could have endured the noise, the dirt and dust were terrible. The second smaller pool was very crowded. It was hard to find dumpsters - nothing was marked clearly to guide you to any areas of the park. They have a small dog park that is all gravel and very little shade and limited seating. A very confusing layout and very dated RV park. We could see the mountains from our site if you stood in the right spot and blocked out all the RVs. The online pictures are very misleading. Lastly, we stayed the duration because we were traveling with our children who were in other accommodations. I would not recommend it and I will never go back.

I can't say we will ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. We did take advantage of visiting Pikes Peak since it is so close but there are more accessible/cheaper RV resorts further east toward Pikes Peak that would be better spent than at Garden of the Gods. This was the worst RV park of our entire road trip around Colorado.

Garden the Gods RV Park, Colorado Springs, CO. A well established campground with friendly staff and nice facilities. The camp store, pools, laundry, and bathroom/showers were nice and functional. The showers needed cleaned but I think we used them just before the daily cleaning and they were well used. The campground was well situated in Colorado for site seeing such as Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods.

We had a great time at Garden of the Gods. It is close to many area attractions. You could easily bike to the Gardens of the Gods park from the campground. The campground is very clean, the site shaded and level. The only negative, the sites were a little snug, but we had good neighbors. The showers/bath house was very clean. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I returned in the morning hoping to talk to someone else, but ran into her, she tried to escort me out saying that was not their job to help us with tourist attractions. When I told her that their web states "concierge on site" (one of the reasons we chose this park), she pointed to a kiosk with brochures and said this is our concierge, see if you can find it. Image my surprise on the day we were leaving that we ran into a camper and stated our only regret was we didn't find that train to Pikes Peak. She stated, oh my, its only 10 min from this campground, right around the corner. Every campground we have ever stayed at is more than happy to help plan your day and give you the information you need to make your stay a good one. Very tight spots to park in also. I sent an email to the campground and wasn't surprised when they didn't even take the time to respond back. Will not be back to this campground or suggest to other campers.

Another employee escorted us up to the site. I had just finished setting up our travel trailer, and my wife & I sat at our picnic table to relax after an all days worth of driving. A class a motor home pulled up to our site and a woman excited screaming at the top of her lungs stating that we were in her space and that she had reserved it. The staff of the park escorted her to our space. The employee immediately demanded to see our window placard, I felt like I was being interrogated for doing something wrong. The employee kept radioing the office to confirm we were in the right space, the office confirmed it was our space. My wife started to cook supper, when about twenty minutes passed and the employee came back stating that there was a mix up and demanded we leave the space, even though we were fully set up and my wife had begun cooking. He also stated that he would escort us to the new site as the rude woman in the class a sat there glaring at us as if we had down something wrong. Once again we had to break down and be escorted to another site that was horrible. An employee stating that he was a professional in backing rigs up was at the new site, because it was at a very tight and arkward angle to try and back up into. After a few minutes of this "professional" not knowing how to give correct instructions while all the time screaming at me, I got our rig in myself. Our new site was next to an old site that was being used for off site parking. Both the water bib and sewer were constantly flowing on the ground. The electrical pedestal was located over a rock wall in an adjoining site. Thank God I bought our electrical extension cord, because I had to scale over the wall just to connect to the pedestal. There was a light affixed to a tree that shown all night, we taught it was daylight 24/7 and the raw sewer smell was horrific. We were also never giving the restroom/shower code as we had to ask a fellow rv'er for the code. The restroom/showers were disgustingly dirty, both mens and women's. We were so upset that we immediately want to the office and asked to speak to the manager. The office manager refused to talk with us so we had to speak to a clerk instead. We became very frustrated the next day and advised them that we were leaving, the clerk stated that we would still be charged for the duration of the stay. We left after one night and the staff stated that we would not be reimbursed the money for two nights. Fair warning this park and there staff lack any form of customer service. If there was a way of giving it "0" stars I would have.

Worst RV park we've stayed at. Packed in like sardines. Forget trying to reach anyone by phone. Had to leave messages which were not returned until a day later. Wifi does not work at any time of day. This park is not able to handle the number of campers it takes in.

Had 24 rigs there for a rally! They were very willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of things to do around this area and is centrally located. Very clean park. Very nice, but still has some of the rustic look to it.

Overall the park was a decent value. We stayed three nights, and total cost was around $90. The park is VERY tight sites. We had a larger site in a corner which made it a little nicer, but still was tight once others were pulled in around us. The park seemed to stay very full and had lots of traffic. The Mens shower house was missing places to put your clothes and hang towels. Hooks appeared to have been pulled out of walls and not repaired. The Wifi didn't really work and appeared to be overloaded most of the time. The location was good, the playground was good. The laundry and game room facilities were nice. All in all it was a good value. In my option $50-100 would have fixed the bathrooms up and made a huge improvement but just having some benches in the shower staff and new hooks. I would give it 4 stars if those items were fixed. Great location.

Very nice resort. Only there 3-nights so we did not take advantage of all their amenities but we really liked the atmosphere and especially Lil' Howard's concessions that was offered each evening and on Sat morning. (At a cost, of course.) My wife was not very impressed with the gentleman who helped us park our motorhome. His backing directions almost had us running over something and when my wife stopped the vehicle because she could see the problem, the guide stated that he was a professional and knew what he was doing. My wife then informed him that she had driven a school bus for 32 years and was really the professional. She pulled up to clear the obstruction and then proceeded to back the unit into the site with little help from "the professional". When we were hooking-up the tow vehicle the morning of departure, we had to go out the "In" gate because the "Out" gate was still locked. This meant we were blocking traffic in the wrong direction but it worked out. We liked the security the gates give, but they really need to have then open by at least 6:30 AM for those leaving. The "Out" gate was opened while we were hooking up at around 7:30 - 7:45 AM. Really nice place though. I'd stay there again if in the area.

Nice park but tight spaces. Very busy park traffic heavy in the park most of the day.

The park was difficult to find when entering from the west. Price was very expensive. However the park was nice and well kept.

Other than location this park is not worth the time. The cable did not work and its seemed the park was in no hurry to fix it. The WiFi all though there was only good early in the morning. The sites were sub standard, the next sites sewer was next to your table. I had to dig a hole so the water regulator would fit, in other words the water was outlet was almost below ground level. The pull though sites were tight, getting my 35' 5th wheel in and out was challenging. I will find a different park... Read More

Booked a premium pull thru... Don't let "premium" mislead you!! Reason 1- Cable TV did not work. Reason 2- Not very appealing when your neighbors sewer hose is within a few feet of your picnic table. Reason 3- "Premium" pull thru was still very tight as all sites in this park are tight. Reason 4- Pedestals are old and worn out.... I had a marginally grounded electrical receptacle. Reason 5- Free WIFI was very weak and virtually useless. To be fair, the park has a great location and the restrooms... Read More

My suggestion would be to go elsewhere because of the reasons listed plus this resort is overpriced.
