Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA is our 85th stop and we stayed 7 days during our visit to Lassen National Park. This is in our top 5 KOAs we have stayed at to date. The staff were excellent and they kept the park clean and well-maintained and a shout out to Doug and Sheri. The site was large and level and the utilities were well-placed and there was a lot of tree cover throughout the park. There are many amenities, a complimentary ice cream social on Sunday afternoon and the back side of the park is undeveloped woods area with trails, swings, a nice sized dog park, and a volley ball court. For connectivity (and were at the back of the park and taken midday and mid-week), Verizon and T-Mobile had no service but the WiFi was very good at 40.3 down and 10.8 up. Few issues with no service but generally worked well throughout the day.

This is a great park. Great trails, friendly and our dog loved the dog park. The sites were great for relaxing. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will stay again.

We came into the KOA on Sunday and there was not many other RVs in the park. Maneuvering to the site was easy as there are many spacious roads and most sites are pull through. Most of the sites are full hookup with some that have electricity and water only. Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to help you out. There's the normal KOA faire with tent sites and kamping kabins littered about. For kids, this is a gold mine besides the usual swimming pool there's a large grassy area for the... Read More

For kids, this is a gold mine besides the usual swimming pool there's a large grassy area for the kids to play with horseshoes, tether-ball, basketball and then they have the bicycle rentals along with the carts. The dog park is the best I've seen yet in an RV park. Although somewhat pricey it was worth every penny as you could hear a pin drop when quiet time starts. Again we stayed during the week and I'm sure the place gets a lot busier on the weekends but this is a nice little gem in the hills.
