The location of the campground on the water is excellent and very beautiful. However, the site we were on was terrible. The ground was very uneven with grass and gravel. So bad that our auto level system could not level the camper without an hour of work and multiple layers of leveling blocks under the driver side tires on the camper. The bath house was not clean when our daughter went to shower and use it a couple times. On top of that it was extremely tight getting our camper in the space. There... Read More

There was a big mud puddle at the rear of the site because the water supply line was leaking below ground. To their credit once we let the maintenance people know about the water line, they did dig it up and fix it in the heat of the day. Also, too many additional costs to be paid for recreational activities.

My husband and I nickname this category of campground as "camping in the city". The campground is STUFFED with campsites. We knew it ahead from the map but it still is tough to call it camping. The location is great and can't be beat. The views are beautiful. The bathrooms were clean but crowded. The showers are the stall in a big room type. As the other reviewers said, the road in the campground is crowded with cars, golf carts, bikes and walkers. Some golf carts were driven by kids. It was a city.... Read More

The Frontier western town was fun for a day. The kids age 6 and 8 loved it; I have girls but the boys there loved the cowboy and Indian shootouts even more. Definitely worth a day there for the elementary school age group. We didn't do the water park as it was a cold May weekend. So, this is a good location but just be mentally prepared that it is no quiet peaceful camping get-away.

The pools, the crabbing dock, the water park, the bathrooms, the restaurant, the views, the Wild West park, the store, the ice cream shop, the zip line, the golf cart rentals all were so much fun. Spent a lot of $$ but really enjoyed my time. We took a bus to OC and came right back. All the fun to be had was at the campground. I never had so much fun. It's my favorite campground. Bathrooms were modern and the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. The only thing I did not like was the confusion... Read More

Once you are parked let the fun begin.

This was our first year camping with friends at Frontier Town. The crew & staff were all very friendly and family oriented. The campground is huge with lots of activities for all ages. You are able to rent or bring your own electric golf cart. The camp sites are spacious and come with a fire ring. The campground includes mini golf and a small but fun water park. Also, available is a zip line which we did not partake in. My friends went to the Wild West Show and they said it was a lot of fun.... Read More

Also, available is a zip line which we did not partake in. My friends went to the Wild West Show and they said it was a lot of fun. They have a really nice camp store which has about everything a camper would need. They do sell beer and spirits there. The campground does offer 2 dog parks. One for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. The restrooms are nice but there are many different ones of the grounds so it does take them a little bit of time to maintain them. But they do their best. I give the staff a 5+ stars for their efforts and attention to detail. The only CON about this campground is that people are able to ride bikes and walk freely in the streets. The campground does provide adequate walking paths along the side of the road which has a fence barrier between you and the road. It seems like only a small percentage of people use this option. The speed limit on the roads is 9 1/2 MPH. Just watch out for kids on their bikes and you will be fine. This is our only concern about the campground which I did call management and voice my concern. But overall we had an outstanding time. This campground is an OUTSTANDING location to almost everything. Great shops and food joints are close by and your only about 15 minutes away from the beach. We will be going back in 2016.
