Great place to relax. Owner goes out of his way to help people. For seasonal people can find part time jobs. State Park Across the street. Free state park day passes. Lots of activities for adults and children. Store is a bit small and has most camping needs, but their are plenty of stores near by.. Fire pits and reasonable fire wood prices! I don't know what it doesn't have for camping experience. Trails too!

We stayed at Range Pond some years back in a pop up and really wanted to go back as it was in a good location for day trips and had a nice swimming pool. We were far away from the front entrance that time and although disappointed that there wasn't more tree cover or privacy, the campground was o.k. We stayed at Range Pond some years back in a pop up and really wanted to go back as it was in a good location for day trips and had a nice swimming pool. We were far away from the front entrance that time and although disappointed that there wasn't more tree cover or privacy, the campground was o.k. We just came back from a long Labor Day weekend stay and were told when registering that our site was large with privacy. We were extremely dismayed upon arriving to discover that our site was long but not even wide enough to be able to secure our pet outside without fear of him being run over by passing traffic. There was one tree and a sad looking bush and we were could not tell upon arrival where the road ended and our site began. We felt like we were literally in the middle of the road. Apparently, we were not aware that this campground is more of a trailer park now. It caters to seasonal campers and camping is really not part of the experience. It seemed every seasonal site had a golf cart and they all went whizzing by at the max speed the carts could travel. There was really never any quiet in the early to late evenings as there was some type of large communal gathering of seasonal people in their clubhouse and everything had to have loud microphone usage attached to it. The last night we were there was really the last straw as the karaoke gathering was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation, listen to your own music quietly or hear yourself think. There was drunken "caterwalling" from 7-well after 10 P.M. It was horrible being forced to give up our last night of what could have been at least some peace and quiet and enjoyment to listen to every seasonal camper take the stage to murder a song. I did ask at the office if this went on every weekend and was told no, that it didn't and that the office wasn't responsible for the activities but that the seasonal people arranged them all and carried them out. We still work and so have limited days for camping and our long awaited camping weekend was ruined. No matter what facilities are offered, I would not go back to this campground as it was not for what we are interested in---peaceful camping. If all of the above does not seem to be anything that would bother you, you might enjoy it.
