This is a park with 300+ sites, only 10 of which are not permanent and for travelers. While the facility seems to be well maintained and permanent residents write many positive reviews, there is one serious issue that warrants the rating of 1 star. The only sewers in the park are the 10 pull through sites for travelers - all other 300 sites must be pumped in the evenings by a guy on a tractor pulling a translucent 300-500 gallon tank with an offensive smell and visible waste sloshing around in the... The only sewers in the park are the 10 pull through sites for travelers - all other 300 sites must be pumped in the evenings by a guy on a tractor pulling a translucent 300-500 gallon tank with an offensive smell and visible waste sloshing around in the tank. Permanent residents advised us to go into our rv when it traveled in our area due to the smell - they were very unhappy about the odor issue. Unfortunately it got much worse - when the tank was full the guy pulled into the empty site behind ours and emptied the entire tank into the rv hookup sewer - the smell was OVERWHELMING!!! Because we were in a valley the stench hung in the air for 2-3 hours. About 10pm a permanent resident stopped and apologized for the terrible smell and said they could empty at another distant site but simply chose not to. The stink was so overwhelming that we had to go into the rv, but the smell was also inside the vehicle. Every other traveler was forced inside as well. The smell was so overpowering we almost left about 11:30pm but had nowhere else to go. The unbelievable stink was the topic the next morning between travelers and two pulled out immediately. We waited to speak to the owner and finally at 1:30 that afternoon a very angry owner told me there was "no problem" and "no other complaints", then advised me "the smell was not that bad" and "only lasted maybe 20 minutes"...when I advised of other VERY unhappy travelers and apologetic permanent residents, I was told that was "only because you were up there stirring people up". She was rude, argumentative, and made no effort to resolve the issue. We pulled out immediately - amazingly, they asked for the receipt before they would refund the remaining days we had paid for. Not only was the smell absolutely horrible, unsanitary, and unnecessary, but the owner was rude and unresponsive to our concerns. I would not recommend staying in this park.

Fairly easy to find off the freeway. The entrance is a bit quirky but the main campground is set back well off the road so it is quite quiet. Easy check-in, friendly staff, from what we saw the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms/showers were clean and tidy.

The campground's website took the Good Sam member number but would not confirm the discount. I called and the campground and she said she would look into it. No discount given. The men's room had no toilet paper in the morning about 8am. The campground is really nice, the parking areas are level. No internet or cable at the sites. Free internet at the office area.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers very clean. Pull through sites were nice and shady but had a lot of trees close together which made it tight to turn in to. Also sites were very close together.

We are traveling down to Texas and spent one night here. The Site was not very level and we had to take the front up really high. You have to pay to use the Wifi and only 3 channels came in on the antenna. Campsite had 3 beautiful man made swimming holes which was nice to look at.

When we called in, 3 hours out, we told them that we were looking for a big rig site as we are 41' plus a tow for ~55' overall. They said that they had one a we came in. At the outer gate you have to push an intercom button that requires getting out of the coach and walking up to it, car height not RV window height. We pulled through the gate and looked for the office, we found it with no signs 1/2 mile down the road. At the office I again explained that I was a big rig at 41' plus tow for a total... Read More

We pulled through the gate and looked for the office, we found it with no signs 1/2 mile down the road. At the office I again explained that I was a big rig at 41' plus tow for a total of 55'. They said no problem and gave us the map to the site. The roads are very tight. Trees are too close and prevent swinging into the site. The site is so sloped when we got to where the slides would clear it would not level and lifted the front wheels off the ground. We backed up and placed blocks under the front wheels and leveler pads. Once level the wife could not get into the coach even with the silver camping world step assist. We had to disconnect the tow and back up to where the sewer hose would just stretch to get set up. Still needed the assist step. The staff were helpful and apologetic, but if they had told me about the sites when I called I would have gone somewhere else. This is not a good Good Sam RV campground.
