This is the second time we have stayed at Sherwood Forest Campground. The staff are very helpful and friendly and will deliver firewood on the golf cart if you call them! There is a really pretty lake right there, you just walk down the little road, or there are steps down to the beach from the campground. There are actually a couple of exceptional pull through sites which give you spectacular views of the lake. Anyhow the water is really clear and the little beach is perfect. During COVID the... This is the second time we have stayed at Sherwood Forest Campground. The staff are very helpful and friendly and will deliver firewood on the golf cart if you call them! There is a really pretty lake right there, you just walk down the little road, or there are steps down to the beach from the campground. There are actually a couple of exceptional pull through sites which give you spectacular views of the lake. Anyhow the water is really clear and the little beach is perfect. During COVID the bathrooms were closed, but we are self contained so it didn't impact us . Usually they are nice though. It's a very pretty campground to base yourself to explore the area. There are some unique towns close by. We will definitely be back.
