The only positive thing about this park is it's proximity to town and the fact that it is on the trolley route. It is overpriced and unwelcoming with poor maintenance and cleanliness. Our site was overgrown and unlevel. The bathrooms had not been cleaned prior to our arrival or during our stay. Only 3 of the toilet stalls and 2 of the shower stalls were operational and there wasn't any electricity. There were signs everywhere telling you what to do and not do. A couple of people staying there had their tow vehicles in front to their travel trailers but the front of the tow vehicle was in the street. I saw the owner yelling at them to move their trucks to the parking area down near the office area.

Signs said park here for rv registration. A back door had a sign saying private entrance. Would not take name regarding incident altho table collapsed on top of me. Only 1 screw held all together. Hurt/sore back, arm and leg bruising. No working laundry, no game room. Very poor management and upkeep. We saw many other well maintained parks. Several other guests had similar experiences, yet had to stay as it was nonrefundable. Others just pulled in and then left in disgust.

After seeing our campsite we requested a change to another campsite in order to have some grass for our dogs. It was rainy and the ground was very muddy otherwise. The owner / manager was very pleasant and moved us to a much better campsite. Our campsite was close enough to level that I didn't need to work to level our motorhome further. The scenery in the "gulch" wasn't what I'd call beautiful, howeverI must add that it was early enough that none of the deciduous trees or shrubs had leaves on them yet. Perhaps later in the spring or summer the esthetics of the campsite would improve, but in early May it wasn't very nice. In our campsite we had full hookups with 30 amp power, water and sewer for $57 a night with a Good Sam discount. Deadwood is an overpriced gambling town this campsite should cost at least $20 less per night less for the condition of the campground. We didn't use or inspect the public restroom facilities during this one night stay. Overall, next time through the Black Hills, I would stay somewhere else. I thought the cost was too high for the value of what you get.

When we made the reservation we told the woman on the phone that we had a 35 foot long motorcoach with a tow trailer. We were promised a 61 ft site. The site we were given was not large enough for the coach and our car stuck out in the roadway. We were lied to. This park has everyone jammed in much too closely. It is not safe. If you have a motorcoach and they do not give you a pull through, do not stay here. Your coach could get damaged. Our trailer was hit while we were there. The price is also high. We paid $45.00 per night for two nights to stay in a loud, disruptive, dirty, dump of a park. Never again! Never.

The layout of the campground is awkward. as you go up the gulch, your campsite starts getting more slanted. Our picnic table sloped from left to right about 10-12 inches. The only flat spot on our site was the gravel pad we parked our 5th wheel and truck on. No additional room for a table. We could not even sit outside on level ground without sitting under our tongue. If you don't want to communicate with the grandchildren or check email or sit outside, or use the facilities, or watch any TV, this is your campground for location only.

WIFI does not work all the time. Very Poor Location. Will NOT stay at this facility when I return.

Very nice owners. We had problems with our refridgerator and they helped by storing our food for us and gave us the name of a nearby repair facility

Good Sam has this rating for restrooms all wrong. They were horrible, mold growing in the showers, white PVC pipe ran for the showers with a wee tiny shower head, no water pressure. The park is nice, lots are roomy but not worth the money charged.
