We stayed here on the way home from Thanksgiving in New Orleans. This is a beautiful riverside park. From the highway we could see a fabulous Christmas light display. We thought is must be the Gadsden festival of lights. To our surprise, it was the campground. All put up by the owners. A real wonderland. This is the only campground we've ever stayed at across the whole country that has a storm shelter. A serious storm shelter -- Con-ex containers bermmed with a thick layer of dirt. Battery... This park is located right on the river in Gadsden. Even if you do not get a river side site, you will enjoy beautiful river views. We were in a pull-through site and enjoyed a nice view of the river from inside our RV. There is a nice walking path along the river with swings along the path to sit and relax. The sites are spacious and the utilities work well. (good water pressure and wifi). The roads and sites are all gravel and not well marked, but they were easy to navigate. The pools in the... Read More

There are three pools (including an infinity pool and a zero-entry child's pool) and a splash pad, all enclosed in a fenced area and located right by the river. Best pools anywhere!

Beautiful location in Gadsden on the Coosa River and Lake Gadsden. Full hookups worked well and WiFi was good. The restrooms are very nice and thoroughly cleaned daily. We had a site on the water and yes, the sites are narrow. Also, the driveways are in bad shape and the site was a mix of dirt, mud and gravel. Not necessarily the fault of the park but we were besieged by tiny flies. Due to the price (we paid $38, I would be less critical at $30-32 per night) I must mention the negatives but... Read More

We spent an unexpected weekend at River Country after breaking down on I-59. Good Sam Roadside Assistance found this campground for us. It has free, good wifi, cable TV, 30/50 amp electric, water and sewage and some pull-through sites. It is pet friendly--no breed restrictions. They even have a nice garden area with pine trees. Would have preferred more trees for shade at our RV site, but weather was cool. It is within walking distance of fast food restaurants and a mall. Nice bathrooms... Read More
