We based our booking on online pictures and the location of the campground. We were told that we had a space and they took full payment up front. We didn’t receive any information about our site number, just the date of arrival and departure. When we arrived on Monday, we were assigned to a spot outside the secured campground that had 2 security gates so obviously security is important. It looked like an overflow area with a separate non gated entrance off the highway. When we drove in we could barely tell where the road or the sites were due to the volume leaves so we parked and went back into the office to see if they could place us somewhere else as the site we were assigned didn’t look at all like the pictures advertised online. The staff tried but were told by management that it wasn’t an option for us to move. We did try to cancel the reservation but were told that we had to cancel 3 days before we were due to arrive. So we then tried to shorten the stay and we were then told that once booked as a whole they wouldn’t break the reservation off to refund a portion. Due to the fact it was Thanksgiving, we decided to stay but the staff had to clean and level the site before we could park as there was 6-8” difference in height from side to side. They also had not placed a picnic table there so it really didn’t look like they had prepared for our arrival at all. Apparently, these sites are supposed to be redone in a couple of weeks according to the staff. But if this was the case, why wouldn’t they tell us during the phone or anytime in the 3 weeks prior to our arrival that this was all they had for us. The way did it was sneaky and like they just trapped us into staying because there was no way out of this by the time we arrived according to their rules. And safety was an issue as someone was walking around our trailer in the middle of the night. We are just happy everything was as we had left it last night when we got up. What an experience, probably the worst in all our camping year’s throughout North America, not good, again this is not the staff, but the management, don’t go here!!

The reviews on this site were older and it seems the place has fallen into disrepair. We did get an escort to the site but the gravel roads through the park are very rough with potholes and not in great shape for RVs. Small speed bumps throughout as well. We got a cement pad that was exactly the width of our wheel base so be careful pulling in! We were given the WiFi info at check in and told “Full disclosure, it’s not very good.” There was an itty bitty picnic table at our site but not at... Read More

NO TENTS/CLAMS OR SCREEN ROOMS ALLOWED but they really wouldn’t fit on the site anyway - the pads are level but the park is hilly and the remainder of our small site was sloped and too small to fit a screened room. No washers or dryers allowed overnight or monthly. No RV or car washing or mechanical work of any kind. We did not use the pool, laundry or playground. I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a better choice. We won’t stay here again.

We were less than pleased with this park. Firstly, I submitted a request for a booking via their website, a week before our intended arrival. I received a response telling me they definitely had availability, and to call to book. This was late at night, about 8:30pm, and the email stated they closed at 9pm. I left it until the following day to call. The lady on the phone asked my dates, which were mid-week, and immediately told me they were completely sold out. I mentioned the email I had received... I received a response telling me they definitely had availability, and to call to book. This was late at night, about 8:30pm, and the email stated they closed at 9pm. I left it until the following day to call. The lady on the phone asked my dates, which were mid-week, and immediately told me they were completely sold out. I mentioned the email I had received the night before, but she responded that they had simply booked up very fast. She didn't seem to pause to check for the dates, so I asked if she was sure, and she said yes. I decided to call again the following day, and was helped by another lady, who said they did indeed have my dates available, and made a reservation for me right there and then. When we arrived, the staff were not overly friendly, seemed like they were having a bad day. We were told a man would escort us to our site & run us through the hookups etc. As we were driving through the park, it seemed like the man didn't know where he was taking us. He stopped outside of what we thought was our site, and came over to our vehicle and asked if we had already passed it (???). He drove off in the other direction to go inspect our site he said, then returned moments later and said it was the one we were stopped at. He apologized and said he had never pulled someone in to that spot before. He wanted to check the hookups before we pulled in, but he wasn't sure what connections were live or dead. My husband had to show him how to tell the difference. For the 2 nights we were there, there was many sites that seemed to be available- the one right next to us was never occupied at all. Lots of giant big wasps/hornets around, so be careful if you are allergic. We couldn't enjoy outside of our trailer for this reason. I kept an eye on old take out food trash that sat on the ground next to the dumpster for our whole stay- it was still there when we left. The layout of the park was difficult- the pull-thru sites were from alternating sides, but both roads went in the same one-way direction, which made it seem impossible to make the hard angle turn to pull thru with a trailer or motorhome, if coming in from one of the roads, because it required you to do an almost-360. Very awkward. I gave the facility rating a 2 because it has a fenced dog area for our favorite travel companions! It's nice to have an area to let them off leash for a run around, after they're confined to the trailer and leash the majority of their time. We did not utilize any other amenities, so I cannot comment on those. The appeal of this park is nice- close to freeways heading in all directions, nice shady sites, lots of amenities for families. All in all, it seemed like the staff needed more training, and a re-focus on friendliness and helpfulness. Management also needs to look at that layout too, and put a little more into the upkeep of the property. Pride goes a long way. I don't think we will stay here again.

We chose Savannah Oaks for the appeal. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We were escorted to our site, which was a pull thru for our 5th Wheel. More then enough of space for both RV & vehicle. Gravel pad, and our RV leveled easily. The resort is well maintained with trash dump stations conveniently nearby. All though we did not utilize the bath house, I did inspect it once, and found it very nice & clean. The WIFI was fair at best, but the cable was outstanding. One day I needed to make... Read More

Great park. Spent a week here. Shaded with live oaks. Convenient to 95 and 16. Highly recommend. TV cable lineup better than most hotels.

We checked out the Good Sams book and found Savannah Oaks, The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and made our reservations. Iwas pleasantly surprised to find our site (#85) had a concrete pad and large shade trees. Everything on the site worked. We had 50 amp service, water, sewer and cable all for $38.00. The park is conveniently located near Savannah and would be a nice place to stay a week if I was exploring the area.

We chose this park primarily so we could visit Savannah (a shuttle was provided by one of the tour companies with purchase of a tour). This park is in a natural setting so lots of trees but is hilly and a lot of gravel. We had a pull thru site that was long, wide and level in a quiet section of the park. Did not use the bathrooms because even though they were recently 'remodeled' they were not particularly clean or functional (doors didn't close properly). It appeared that during our stay there... Did not use the bathrooms because even though they were recently 'remodeled' they were not particularly clean or functional (doors didn't close properly). It appeared that during our stay there was only one person to clean the two bath houses and laundry and that person was also guiding RV to their sites. The laundry also was in need of work with several washers and dryers out of service. The appliances I used did work properly and I was lucky and didn't have to wait long for my turn. It was a bit of a drive to fuel, groceries, restaurants and the freeway. I'm not sure we would stay here again.

This is a very nice campground. The sites are shady and appealing. The laundry facility was well kept and all of the machines were in working order. The office staff is very pleasant and helpful. The gas station and store onsite were reasonably priced and well stocked.

Very nice camp ground, site was gravel and level. Washroom was clean and wifi worked great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the shuttle into Savannah was a good way to get to the city. Would definitely stay there again.

Park location convenient to highway for easy on/off. Was not overly impressed with the place. Dumped tanks before I left, thankfully not full. Black drained, then went to dump first grey tank and pipe started backing up. My adapter was screwed to their fitting but their fitting not glued so pressure started lifting fitting off pipe. Thankfully, I was able to close valve so water would not drain so quickly. Didnt drain second grey tank as I did'nt want to wait for a long time. Would I stay there... Read More

We stayed for three days at this campground. Two of the four restrooms where operating near our campground. The reason we picked this site was because the Old Town Trolley tours came to the site and picked you up. They did take care of our dog, for free, while we went site seeing. Very friendly staff, and very helpful. need to do some work thereon the roads and restrooms.

The overall grade would be a "C" But forget about the WiFi. Its Terrible when its not down its very slow. The Staff are friendly and helpful but the campground needs some TLC.

Very run down, elec and cable wires all over ground to drive over and to trip on. Many campers with much stuff sitting around, junky. Weight benches, hammocks, lots of outdoor storage, etc. smokers, extra grills, I had no picnic table and was told wifi did not work. All I had out was a very small chair and very small side table plus a dog bowl out, But I was not allowed to have my sunbrella (umbrella)over my chair and table. Something good. I was lucky, my site was level.

We did not realize, when we requested a Pull Thru, that we were going to be guided down to the Dust Bowl area. The ground was covered with deep dirt. Barely any grass. Spanish moss all over on the ground, to be avoided unless you want chiggers. The dog park is sad. The bathrooms can be judged by how many bugs (dead and alive) are on the walls. When you pull into your slot, mosquitoes and flies cover your car and are biting as soon as you open your door. Apparently Good Sam rated a different park... Read More

Out of town spot to stay while visiting Savannah. Very wooded and shady for the most part. Staff was very friendly and helpful, WiFi and cable both worked great. Backs up to a canal, set up with nice fishing dock. Only negative with the park is the laundry and bathrooms were not the greatest shape, older and some deferred maintenance, half of laundry machines did not work.
