An old run down dump in a bad neighborhood.

After reading some of the negative reviews of this park (after we had already booked since we saw they were a Good Sam Park) I was a bit nervous but wanted to give them a shot regardless. After reading some of the negative reviews of this park (after we had already booked since we saw they were a Good Sam Park) I was a bit nervous but wanted to give them a shot regardless. We've been here for almost a week now, and overall the experience hasn't been bad - but today we were treated very unprofessionally by management. First. My business partner and I decided to enjoy the nice weather Corpus Christi has been having and set up? to work from our laptops at the little rec area. We found an outlet accessible that we could charge our laptops while we worked and didn't even consider this would be an issue. Unfortunately?... it appears to be. Upon being asked how long we were planning to work from here, we asked if there was a problem - and it was indicated there was. We asked if we could pay for the electricity usage we would potentially be using (we offered what I believe to be a VERY generous $5 for what has been at most 5 hours of electricity to keep 2 laptops topped off). That was not good enough I guess, so we went ahead and unplugged. The request was strange, but we willingly complied as soon as we were asked to unplug. After this... The manager accused us of lying about propping a gate open. I'm not even sure how to handle this one honestly. We simply didn't prop the gate open... when we're told a rule we comply and it's a simple matter. I guess another guest said that we were spotted doing so - I'm guessing it's a case of mistaken identity?, because we didn't. Either way, it definitely doesn't feel good to be accused of lying when you haven't done so. It was also mentioned that we've been breaking rules, specifically with having our dog off the leash. I'm checking now to see if that happened (this is possible, my son's job is to let the dog out in the morning as a way that he contributes to the family). Unfortunately, it came up in an accusatory context rather than simply letting us know there was an issue that we as parents could resolve. Those have been our main issues. Otherwise, the sites were fine, seemed level, hookups were all solid and the general feel of the park is fine. The neighborhood? seems slightly shad?, but we didn't have any issues. The other guests were all friendly that we've met as well. The treatment we received from the management seems fitting based on signs seen around the park as well. Many signs come across passive-aggressive?, saying things like "If you get sick in the bathrooms, don't leave it for other people to clean up" and the sign over at the fish cleaning area says "If this area is not left clean it will not be available for anyone to use". These are completely fair statements, they just come across accusatory and aggressive toward guests and not at all welcoming. That seems to be the general problem - confrontation does not seem to be met with professional grace but is rather met with rude and unprofessional attitude. I would not recommend staying here if you have other options, I will not be staying again myself.

This Park does not represent Good Sam very well at all. The park is essentially a trash dump, located next to a sewage treatment plant. The owners and staff are rude and are not pleasant people. I will not stay here again and I do not recommend this park.
